Sonal Churiwal is a Spring 2026 Editorial Intern. She is a senior at Washington University in St. Louis, studying Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Political Science with a minor in Writing. Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Sonal relocated to St. Louis in 2022. Prior to joining SLM, she was active in the St. Louis nonprofit space, working with organizations including the Missouri Asian American Youth Foundation, PROMO, and ArchCity Defenders. In her free time, Sonal can be found cafe-hopping, cross-stitching, or listening to her favorite podcast. She looks forward to pursuing a career in community-led and impact-driven journalism.
