Creativity is in the air at Laumeier Sculpture Park’s 39th annual Art Fair. During Mother’s Day weekend, the park is populated with work from more than 160 artists, local eats, music, and hands-on activities. The Literary Garden: The Cultivation of Plants and Gardens in Narratives highlights the vibrancy of plants and gardens in novels, poems, comics, and other literary works. The Saint Louis Art Museum is opening its doors to talented comedian Jessimae Peluso for Gallery Laughs. Every three months, SLAM welcomes local and nationally touring comedians to spend the evening in laughter and enjoy custom portraits by Cbabi Bayoc. Free tickets are available the day of the event. Browse paintings, sculptures, illustrations, and more at Art on the Square. Belleville’s annual fine-arts show brings together work from more than 100 artists from across the globe. The fair’s Wine Court will host musicians all three days, and local food and drink vendors offer plenty of options. Stop by the children’s art garden for a takeaway art project for young creatives.
