July 31-August 2: SerbFest

  • What: SerbFest returns with a weekend celebrating Serbian culture through traditional music, folk dancing, and family recipes. Come hungry for specialties like lamb shanks, ćevapi sandwiches, and delicate palacinke while experiencing the customs and hospitality that have made this longtime St. Louis festival a summer tradition since 1987.

August 1: Ryan Dintleman Classic, BBQ Competition

  • What: Pitmasters from across the region will fire up their smokers for the inaugural Ryan Dintleman BBQ Classic, where competitors battle for “Big 5” bragging rights. Alongside the competition, expect food trucks, live music, games, and a cash bar, all while supporting local charities in honor of Ryan Dintleman’s legacy.

August 2: Bottomless Spritz Brunch

  • What: Ease into Sunday with endless brunch favorites paired with Aperol spritzes or classic mimosas. Das Bevo’s historic bierhall sets the perfect scene for a leisurely weekend morning and one of the area’s most unique brunches.

August 6: Dardenne Greenway Sunset and Snowcones

  • What: Catch the sunset over the Dardenne Greenway with a free snowcone in hand. Those feeling a little more active can join STL Run Crew for an optional 1.5-mile group walk or run along the greenway.

August 7: The Indomitable Spirit of America- 250th Birthday Bourbon

  • What: On the first Friday of every month, St. Louis based Still 630 is issuing a rare, single-barrel release to commemorate the 250th birthday of the United States. Dubbed “The Indomitable Spirit of America 250th Birthday Bourbon,” each release commemorates a milestone in American history, including the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Wright brothers’ first flight, and the March on Washington. Head down to August’s release party for a toast and other bourbon-infused festivities.

August 8: Rosé All Day Patio Party

  • What: Raise a glass to summer at this Rosé All Day Patio Party, featuring rosé cocktails, tap rosé, shareable magnums, and a special food menu. With music from DJ PBNJEFFY and patio games, it’s a lively afternoon for soaking up the season with friends.

August 8: Rock the Hops

  • What: Rock the Hops returns to downtown Alton with an afternoon of live music, local art, makers, and craft beverage tastings. Sample dozens of beers, ciders, seltzers, and nonalcoholic options while exploring performances across multiple stages, making this one of the region’s liveliest celebrations of music and craft brewing.

August 10: St. Heck X Royale Non-alcoholic Garden Inspired Cocktail Competition

  • What: Local zero-proof spirits take center stage at this friendly cocktail competition, where four bartenders create garden-inspired drinks featuring St. Heck Zero Proof Amaro. Sample the competing cocktails alongside other locally made NA beverages, then cast your vote to help crown the People’s Choice winner.

August 20: Dinner & A Movie: Shrek

August 22: Soul Brunch: R&B of the 80s presented by PureSoul

  • What: Enjoy a soulful brunch at City Winery featuring live tributes to the icons of 80’s R&B. Backed by St. Louis’ powerhouse PureSoul, the performance pairs classic hits with deep-cut favorites. Guests can enjoy the show on its own or make a complete event out of the morning by adding an all-you-can-eat brunch buffet, with wine, cocktails, and other beverages available separately.

August 22-23: Foodies Eat First

  • What: Foodies Eat First Fest brings an array of St. Louis’ most talked-about restaurants, viral dishes, and exclusive pop-ups together to downtown. Curated by local food personality BradenSTL, the festival also welcomes New York’s famed Katz’s Deli for a special appearance, as well as DJs and musical performances throughout the day – a must-attend event for anyone eager to sample the city’s hottest bites in one place.

August 27: Chef & Winemaker Dinner at City Foundry

  • What: City Winery’s monthly Chef & Winemaker Dinner series celebrates the “Fruits of Summer” with a four-course menu inspired by long evenings and peak seasonal ingredients. From chilled tomato gazpacho to Faroe Island salmon with roasted corn, black bean salad, and tomato jam, each course is thoughtfully paired with City Winery wines, with a wine professional guiding guests through tasting notes and pairings throughout the evening.
