Dr. Danish Nagda trained to become a physician at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine in Philadelphia and at Washington University in St. Louis. His most important job, however, was caring for his father.
“I took care of him for the last nine years of his life,” says Nagda, whose father died at 69 of heart failure after doctors failed to diagnose him with obstructive sleep apnea decades earlier.

Rezilient Health, a health care system that connects patients to same-day access to primary and specialty care. Nagda, Rezilient’s CEO and co-founder, and Jeff Gamble, PhD, Rezilient’s co-founder and chief operating officer, started the organization in 2016. Headquartered near Forest Park, Rezilient opened its first clinic in spring 2022, and now has one clinic each in Texas and Oklahoma, as well as clinics in Clayton (7923 Forsyth) and St. Charles (2000 Salt River).
Rezilient’s CloudClinic model works like this: A patient visits a Rezilient clinic, meets with an onsite medical assistant who facilitates an examination, and then speaks with a doctor via teleconference about a diagnosis. Self-insured businesses can purchase a monthly subscription through Rezilient and offer it as a free benefit for their employees.
Over the course of the last year, the company has increased its revenue by 600 percent, Nagda says. Today, Rezilient serves more than 300 employers—and thousands of employees.
Local businesses that have signed up for care with Rezilient Health include Butler’s Pantry, St. Charles County Ambulance District, STL Communications, Inc., Cosmos Corp, John Henry Foster, and Technology Partners. Oklahoma State University is Rezilient Health’s most recent partner. Now, faculty and staff can receive comprehensive speciality care in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
“Suddenly, all of the doctors at Rezilient are now available in Stillwater,” Nagda says. “The idea here is building a tech-enabled infrastructure, we are building a more equitable and available and accessible health care system that truly meets the needs of the underserved in the market.”
To keep up with business expansion, Rezilient Health recently raised 10 million from Govo Venture Partners, an organization in Winter Park, Florida that invests in early-stage companies. Rezilient also received investments from David Karandish, the CEO and founder of St. Louis-based tech platform Capacity; Block co-founder and St. Louis entrepreneur Jim McKelvey; Mark Jones, co-founder of Texas-based Goosehead Insurance; and Clint Jones, managing partner of Chicago-based Bridge Ventures.
“It has been quite an incredible experience,” he says.
The company plans to expand its customer base over the next 24 months by opening more clinics in existing markets. Nagda says expansion to other areas could also be on the horizon.
“The more patients that we have under management, the more providers and doctors we can hire, and now all those doctors are available at every location,” Nagda says.
