Saint Louis Zoo

From Miss Jim and Raja to today’s beloved bears, “The Story of the Saint Louis Zoo” celebrates the animals, memories, and milestones that have shaped generations of St. Louis families.

The summer attraction brings animatronic dinosaurs, fossil digs, and hands-on learning experiences back to Historic Hill beginning June 19.

Destination Discovery is slated to open later this year and replaces the former children’s zoo with immersive animal encounters, hands-on play, and interactive experiences.

The Sloth Atrium is now home to six-year-old Pancakes and one-year-old Rolo, who is making his Saint Louis Zoo debut.

These popular, small-group experiences let guests meet animal experts, get closer than ever to wildlife, and learn how conservation work extends beyond St. Louis.

The program will introduce full-day classes and a brand-new facility next school year.

From history lessons to hands-on experiences, these engaging programs are tailored to homeschool education programs.

The zoo’s new reptile resident can be found in the Charles H. Hoessle Herpetarium.

Joining a membership program at one of these St. Louis museums and attractions is the gift that keeps giving all year long.

The annual event serves as the zoo’s largest fundraiser and helps support conservation of nearly 12,000 animals.
