From downtown to St. Charles, ambitious developments are changing the landscape across the metro area.

Wash Ave Food Hall

Designed to draw dining and entertainment together, developer Alex Oliver’s Wash Ave Food Hall (1122 Washington) will house eight vendors, two bars, and an indoor-outdoor social space at its 10,000-square-foot location in the heart of downtown. Raineri Construction has overseen construction management, while FIRETEN Hospitality will oversee day-to-day operation. The hall is slated to open in October.

Marquette Homes is rehabilitating the Grandview Arcade, a formerly vacant landmark on South Grand. Leasing for 16 new affordable housing units could begin soon. The project preserves several of the historic building’s original features, while its first-floor commercial space will take longer to complete. The apartments are part of a larger $26.3 million project that will create 52 affordable units across nine properties in Gravois Park and Dutchtown.
