Hannah Wuethrich has always enjoyed crafting. So after her daughter was born, in 2019, she decided to channel that passion into a children’s clothing and accessories line. “It came pretty natural,” says Wuethrich, the owner of Junebug Boutique. Launched in February 2020, the Etsy shop initially specialized in hairbows but has expanded its offerings over time. Wuethrich added a clothing line after learning to use a sewing machine from YouTube tutorials. Now she sews all of the clothes herself using organic fabrics, which she says is better for the environment and for kids with sensitive skin. The patterns are also purchased from a small business run by a mother like herself. With all of Junebug’s products, Wuethrich aims for an enduring look. “Slow fashion for kids is my main focus,” she says. “I try to make timeless pieces versus trendy pieces that kids will only wear one time.”
