GMO Tacos from Mission Taco Joint
Today's date, 4/20, has become a sort of food holiday, not only for those with a case of the munchies but also for those who look forward to trying the latest disturbingly delicious–sounding creations from local restaurants and chains. This year, several St. Louis restaurants are getting in the spirit of the cannabis-inspired holiday with promotions and pop-ups. From free tacos at Mission Taco Joint to a 4/20-themed beer dinner with 2nd Shift Brewing, here’s a lineup of local food specials and events.
Free Tacos at Mission Taco Joint
From 11 a.m.–1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, select Mission Taco Joint locations are handing out a limited number of "GMO Tacos” in partnership with Proper Cannabis. Mission has renamed its popular portobello mushroom taco for the day to bring attention to the popular GMO (garlic, mushroom, onion) strain of cannabis. Guests will be limited to one taco per person with an additional purchase, and the offer is for dine-in only.

It will also offer medical marijuana card pre-approvals with Swade, 420 T-shirts, and several items for $4.20, including boxes of six Chocolate Chip Take & Bakes and Ice Cream Sandwiches.
