Schlafly Beer’s Full Moon Festival returns this Saturday, November 2, at Schlafly Bottleworks (7260 Southwest) in Maplewood. Celebrating the Beaver Moon and the start of colder months, the decade-old festival has grown into a fall tradition, drawing St. Louis beer lovers together to enjoy good food, seasonal brews, and the crisp autumn air. From chili competitions to iconic bonfires, the festival celebrates community spirit, making even the coldest nights feel warm.
“Full Moon Festival is a St. Louis staple,” says Kara Donsky, Bottleworks’ general manager. “It’s our way of gathering the community for an autumn celebration, and we’re thrilled to bring it back with even more excitement this year.”

The annual pig roast is another festival highlight, and Schlafly’s beer lineup offers a variety of pairing options:
- Pilsner: The crisp, light Schlafly Pilsner cuts through the roast’s fattiness, refreshing the palate.
- Amber Ale: This malty ale provides caramel sweetness to complement the roast’s charred flavors.
- Porter: Rich and roasted, Schlafly’s Porter enhances the pig roast’s smoky, savory elements.
- Hefeweizen: Fruity and spicy, the Hefeweizen adds a refreshing twist, especially when paired with cornbread or roasted vegetables.
In addition to chili and whole roasted pig, Schlafly’s regular menu will be available at the restaurant, bar, and covered patio.
