Downtown Restaurant Week returns November 16–22, with discounts and specials on tasty eats and drinks

Downtown Restaurant Week turns up the flavor in the heart of St. Louis.

For seven days in November, downtown St. Louis becomes an invitation to pull up a chair, try somewhere new, and rediscover the restaurants that help give the heart of the city its unique flavor and personality.

Downtown Restaurant Week returns November 16–22, bringing diners a lineup of specials designed to showcase the diversity of the downtown dining scene while encouraging residents, office workers, visitors, convention attendees, and event goers to make a meal part of their downtown experience.

Whether it’s a visit to one of your favorite neighborhood restaurants or experiencing some of the recent additions to downtown’s growing dining scene, including The Clydesdale or the Wash Ave Food Hall, there’s something for every taste and every meal during Downtown Restaurant Week.

Know Before You Go

The premise of Downtown Restaurant Week is simple: Visit a participating restaurant, ask for the Downtown Restaurant Week special, and enjoy a deal. Participating restaurants will offer a discount of 20 percent or more, or a discounted specialty food or drink item. No sign-up or tickets are needed.

And while reservations aren’t always mandatory, they’re strongly encouraged, particularly for popular restaurants and during a week when downtown is already drawing crowds for a packed calendar of events.

If you’re headed downtown for a concert or a Blues game, then park near the venue and simply walk to a nearby restaurant. Otherwise, if you don’t already have the ParkMobile app, be sure to download it, as it makes it easy to pay for street parking.

Make a Night of It

A packed calendar of events in the heart of the city during Downtown Restaurant Week provides an especially lively backdrop this year. Journey takes the stage at Enterprise Center on November 16, followed by St. Louis Blues home games at Enterprise Center on November 17 and 21.

On November 21—the same day that Winterfest kicks off in Kiener Plaza—The Musial Awards will bring droves of residents and visitors from across the country to St. Louis. For downtown restaurants, the combination of locals and visitors creates an opportunity to put the city’s dining scene front and center.

Must-Try Meals

At its heart, Downtown Restaurant Week is about more than finding a good deal. It’s a chance to put some of downtown St. Louis’ restaurants in the spotlight and give diners a reason to walk through their doors.

This year’s lineup reflects the range of the downtown dining scene, from casual weekday breakfast and lunch spots to family favorites to happy hour and fine-dining destinations.

Start your day with coffee and pastries at Park Avenue Coffee, or try Bella’s Coffee Café, where you can also return in the evening for cocktails and ice cream. Or for a hearty breakfast or lunch with quality coffee, head to Coffeestamp on Washington Avenue or Java Plus Cafe & Catering in the One Metropolitan Square building.

Grab lunch or dinner on Laclede’s Landing at The Cobblestone STL or Kimchi Guys, or head to other downtown favorites such as Amaizing Arepa Bar, Aubergine Cafe, Brewhouse Historical Sports Bar, Gourmet Soul, Hi-Pointe Drive-In, Karsyns Soule’ 2.0, Pickles Deli (lunch only), Rosalita’s Cantina, Salt + Smoke, Snarf’s Sandwiches Downtown at the MX, Sugarfire Smokehouse, or Sushi Ai. These spots all offer tasty lunch and dinner options, and many of them serve drinks to pair with your meal.

For dinner and drinks, whether for date night or pre-gaming a Blues game or concert, your options abound. Stop in 360 St. Louis Downtown, Blood & Sand, The Clydesdale, Idol Wolf at 21c St. Louis, Morton’s The Steakhouse, The Moniker, or Robie’s Restaurant and Lounge for a fancier date night vibe. Or for a more casual night out, try Buddy’s Local Grill & Bar, Maggie O’Brien’s Restaurant & Irish Pub, The Pitch, or Rosalita’s Cantina. And for decadent drinks with environs to match, head to The Thaxton Speakeasy or Odditeas Cafe & Artistic Lounge, which both offer tempting nightcaps.

And for a spot that offers every meal of the day, visit Union 30 inside the Hotel Saint Louis, which serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner seven days a week. Plus, the bar is open until 11 p.m. daily.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee, meeting friends for lunch, fueling up before a Blues game, or settling in for a night out, Downtown Restaurant Week offers plenty of reasons to make a meal part of your plans. From November 16–22, come hungry, explore somewhere new, and support the local restaurants that help keep the downtown St. Louis restaurant scene thriving.
