After some of the city’s favorite holiday pop-up venues paused their events last year due to the pandemic, St. Louisans can now look forward to continuing their holiday traditions. Several pop-up bars have reopened this year, and others have joined the fun. Here's a list of holiday pop-up bars and events where loved ones can clink glasses this season.
Beyond its drive-through holiday display, Dasher’s Light Show, POWERplex STL is hosting Dasher’s Dive, where guests can sip holiday cocktails while playing trivia. The menu offers a range of classic cocktails with a twist, such as the Moscow Yule, made with cranberry juice and garnished with whole cranberries and a rosemary sprig. The Mistletoe Martini has sweet tooths in mind, as it’s made with vodka, Bailey’s, Godiva chocolate liqueur, hot chocolate mix, half and half, and a sugar cookie rim. Mocktails are also available. What started as an at-home cocktail experience has evolved into an in-person holiday pop-up inspired by everyone's favorite holiday movie classics. Starting December 9, guests can head to the Lazy Tiger in the Central West End for festive cocktails crafted by the restaurant's Co-owner Tim Wiggins and team. Cocktails include Ya Filthy Animal, Go Easy On The Pepsi!, 'Eating Junk, Watching Rubbish,' and more. Also offering cocktail gift boxes in which a portion of the proceeds will benefit St. Louis Family Gift Drive. Available through December 31 for $10 per person. Make reservations here. 210 N. The Piper Palm House in Tower Grove Park is transforming its space into a winter wonderland. Starting December 16, guests can admire the historic lily ponds from inside the heated conservatory while sipping from a holiday-inspired cocktail thoughtfully crafted by Pat Gioia and the team from STL Barkeep. The menu features Granny’s Gold Coins, It’s Mint to Be, Christmas in Paris, What’s In Santa’s Mug, and more. Several new cocktails have also made the list this year, including the Down the Chimney, Hearth Manhattan, Ornamental Excellence, and Blood in the Snow. Guests can enjoy live music, a meal from local food trucks, and the first-ever Frosted Holiday Market on December 19 to shop from a variety of local vendors. The World Chess Hall of Fame is putting on what it calls a “kitschy winter wonderland.” Guests can appreciate a variety of chess-inspired drinks, including a complimentary drink, with appetizers from Kingside Diner. $5 per person during the day, $10 per person at night. From November 26 to December 23, Molly’s in Soulard is hosting its third annual LIT Christmas Pop-up Experience, complete with a comprehensive list of the “12 Drinks of Lit-mas,” two holiday-inspired shots, and several small bites. $10 per person. The classic holiday pop-up is back at Small Change in Benton Park and offers a range of Christmas-themed cocktails, such as the Christmapolitan, Elfing Around, and Santa’s Helper. The frozen cocktail bar is offering several seasonal favorites this year such as the Spiked Apple Cider, Peppermint Mocha, and two new releases: Spiced Cranberry Sangria and Mexican Hot Chocolate. Stay tuned on December 9 for an additional drop of frozen winter cocktails. Both Midtown and St. Charles locations.
Through December 21, join Santa for a pre-Christmas vacay at Planter’s House in Lafayette Square. The Kris Kringle Colada, Sippin’ Santa, and Azul Navidad are just a few drinks that add to the tropical ambiance of Miracle STL’s sister concept. Access the full menu here. $5 per person. Escape to Three Sixty, atop the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark. The decked-out bar is offering eight specialty cocktails, including the Son of a Nutcracker shot (made of Frangelico, amaretto, heavy cream, and cinnamon) and the Down the Chimney shot (curated with blueberry Red Bull, Smirnoff blueberry vodka, and lemon). The Wandering Sidecar Bar is offering a two-hour winter pop-up bar to add holiday sparkle and cheer to your event. Guests can customize their experience by choosing from a stocked fire pit and patio heater, a holiday playlist, and a selection of chilled and warm cocktails. Drink options include either Nutella or peppermint hot cocoas, mulled wine, hot toddy, sugar cookie cocktail, Feliz Navidad Margarita, Santa’s Sangria, Rosemary and Ginger Fizz, and Honey Crisp Smash with bourbon, ginger beer, and cider. This St. Louis bar crawl raises money for several local charities, including St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Stray Rescue of St. Louis, Young Friends of Kids with Cancer, and more. Participants can choose which charity they’d like to support and receive a sweatshirt that represents their pick. Starting at $40. December 18, 2–6 p.m. 601 Clark.
