The St. Lunatic sandwich: an insane stacker that includes a cheeseburger, BBQ pork steak, t-ravs, Red Hot Riplets and provel cheese, with circular Imo's pizzas serving as the carrier.
STLMade is marking the movement's first anniversary with 3.14 Day this Saturday, March 14. Events across town are being held to cheer the creativity, innovation, and spirit that makes the city special. Some of St. Louis' favorite homegrown restaurants and bars are running special discounts and deals on Saturday.
Is it possible to fit everything iconic about St. Louis cuisine into a single sandwich? Hi-Pointe Drive-In thinks so. On March 14, the popular burger joint is reviving the St. Lunatic sandwich, which was originally created in 2017 by chef Adam Pritchett and offered at Sugarfire Smokehouse. The over-the-top sandwich includes a cheeseburger, barbecue pork steak, T-ravs, Red Hot Riplets, and Provel cheese, with circular Imo's pizza slices serving as the carrier.
Many of the participating restaurants, breweries, and other venues are offering selected items for just $3.14. Among them:
- Gooey Butter Cake Shake at Baileys' Range
- St. Louis Pale Ale at Ferguson Brewing Company
- City Wide at 4Hands Brewing Co.
- Steak slider at Alpha Brewing Company, where there will also be live music from Taylor Steele
- Pork Steak Sliders at Knockout BBQ
- Original Roast Beef sandwich at Lion’s Choice (click here for coupon)
- Chips and salsa at Mission Taco Joint
- Show Me Amber Lager at O’ Fallon Brewery

Other restaurants, breweries, and bars offering specials include Clementine's, Imo’s, La Patisserie Chouquette, Six Mile Bridge, Square One Brewery, Petrichor Brewing, Soda Fountain, Sugarfire Smoke House, and The Monocle. A number of restaurants and bars are also offering $3.14 deals and other discounts during XFL Battlehawks watch parties, including Beckerle’s Hilltop, 314 The City Bar, Hotshots Sports Bar & Grill, and more. For full details, visit theSTL.com.
Of course, March 14 is also Pi Day. This year, Pi is offering a “buy one, get one for $3.14” deal. Buy a large pizza, and you can get a second pie of equal or lower value for $3.14. (This deal is not available at Pi’s MX location downtown. See Pi’s website or social media feeds for all the terms and conditions.) Pi is also offering a free large pizza for any “Pi babies” whose birthday falls on March 14; bring ID if that applies to you. Finally, for patrons under age 16, there’s a Pi memorization contest at the Delmar Loop branch starting at 4 p.m., with a $100 Pi gift card for the winner. Pi's Chris Sommers adds, "One of our guests in the Washington DC store plans to recite 10,000 digits of pi in our contest there. It will be live-streamed."
