If you think you know craft fairs, think again. Come to Green with Indie this Saturday and explore a new frontier in craft fairs. More than 60 local and regional vendors will be selling their eco-friendly wares at this free event organized by the STL Craft Mafia. The show, which is in its fourth year, touts items that are “earth-friendly, salvaged, upcycled, recycled, homegrown, homemade, revamped, refurbished, and 100 percent unique.” You’ll be amazed at the lovely and often surprising jewelry, clothing, toys, and other goods being created by artists right here in St. Louis.
In addition, clean out your closets and help others while having a good time. Bring in unwanted craft supplies to donate at the Upcycle Exchange booth and receive a 10 percent off coupon that can be used at select vendors on the day of the show. While at the booth, stay to make a fun pin-cushion ring craft to take home. You can also bring in gently used bras to donate to Free the Girls, a non-profit organization that helps victims of human trafficking in Africa rebuild their lives through secondhand clothing businesses.

At the show, there will be tons of information on ways to go green, as well as giveaways from event sponsors such as KDHX, Yelp, and The Foundrie. Outside in the parking lot, the Holy Crepe! food truck will be serving up fresh crepes made from locally sourced ingredients.
Bring a Green with Indie event postcard to the show for a chance to win a basket full of handmade goodies donated by more than 50 of the vendors. Postcards can be found at The Upcycle Exchange, The Foundrie, Home Eco, and Verde Kids.
The Green with Indie Craft Show will take place Saturday, March 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Webster University’s Grant Gym in the University Center (175 Edgar Road).
