He’s been called the most hated man in St. Louis, a jackhole, and “literally Satan.” St. Louis native Andy Cohen dedicated an entire segment of his Bravo show to flipping him off, and local sports fans have made headlines after chanting about how much he “sucks.”
Billionaire Stan Kroenke may be one of the least beloved people in all of the Show-Me State, but according to a new report from Forbes magazine, he’s now the richest.

Kroenke bypassed Jack Taylor, founder of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, to become the richest person in Missouri, according to Forbes annual ranking. Taylor was worth $12.7 billion when he was named Missouri’s richest person in April 2015, and a September 2015 report estimated his wealth at $9.7 billion, according to the St. Louis Business Journal. Kroenke’s worth is a little less than $8 million, but Forbes notes Kroenke “made hundreds of millions” in the deal to move the Rams to L.A.
From Forbes:
Stanley Kroenke, one of three sports billionaires in the group, is now the richest person in Missouri, after passing Enterprise Rent-A-Car founder Jack Taylor. In January, Kroenke made hundreds of millions by striking a deal to move the St. Louis Rams back to their old home in Los Angeles. A bigger market means more opportunities to sell high-priced tickets and luxury seating, which add up to a more valuable team. The move was good for Kroenke, who is now worth some $7.9 billion, but plenty of other people in Missouri are bitter about it.
