A few years ago, musician Brad Jackson decided to transform his scraggly whiskers into a kick-ass beard. He sees the male mane as “something we earn as we age, an accomplishment that we as men can all share in, a rite of passage.” But when he looked for a beard tonic to tame his mangy bristles, he didn’t find one that worked, so he made his own. Roughneck Beard Company was born. Now, Jackson is both a purveyor of fine beard products and a promoter of the bearded lifestyle.
