Martin and Chris Kratt aren’t just the animated title characters on the popular PBS children’s show Wild Kratts. They are real-life brothers who studied life science and animal behavior before becoming successful hosts for such TV shows as ZoBoomafoo and Kratts’ Creatures.
The Wild Kratts animated series has now been turned into a live action show that is coming to the Peabody Opera House for two performances. Like its cartoon counterpart, “Wild Kratts Live!” will have the Kratt brothers don Creature Power Suits to showcase amazing animal abilities and rescue their animal-inspired inventions from their nemesis, Zach and his Zachbots. The show mixes science and education with comedy and audience interaction.

Like the animated series, the stage show appeals to kids because it blends interesting facts with fun antics. “The Kratt brothers take kids to animal habitats around the globe, where they experience the secret lives of extraordinary creatures,” says Nine Network spokesperson Matt Huelskamp. “They bring a high level of energy, keeping kids engaged and entertained for the full program.”
“Wild Kratts Live!” comes to the Peabody Opera House Sunday at 1 and 4:30 p.m. Tickets range from $22–$97. Click here for more information.
