The Creative Castle at the Saint Louis Art Fair |  September 8–9 

While you peruse the fine art, kiddos can create bubble art, water colors, origami, hats, crowns, robots on a stick, and more. (Read more here.) The children’s area is open 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday. Forsyth between Central and N. Bemiston, Clayton.

The Three Little Pigs Family Musical | September 8–9

LouFest has been cancelled, but you can still take the kids enjoy music. Presented by Edie’s Fairytale Theatre, this event takes the classic story and pulls the whole family in for a sing-along. Register for tickets here. Free. Pre-show activities begin at 10:30. Performance at 11 a.m. Andrews Academy, Creve Coeur, 6306, 888 N. Mason. 

Harry Potter on the Big Screen | September 8–9

It’s hard to believe, but the original Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, was released nearly 17 years ago. Now you can see it and the other eight films inspired by J. K. Rowling’s bestselling fantasy series on the big screen for just $27 total or $5 per film. Select Marcus Theatres locations—including Chesterfield, Des Peres, Ronnies, St. Charles—host the Harry Potter Magical Movie Showcase at noon on Saturdays and Sundays from September 8–November 4. The Magic House’s Fall Farm Festival | September 8

Kids can learn about agriculture, see a tractor, and pet farm animals during the Fall Farm Festival at The Magic House. Free with regular admission. 9:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. The Magic House, 516 S. Kirkwood.

Trucks and Tails | September 9 

Combine your kid’s love of dogs and big trucks with a Sunday outing to Purina Farms. The Gray Summit attraction’s hosting more than 20 vehicles and the hard-working dogs that pair perfectly with them. Free; no reservations required. $5 to park, or bring five cans of food to donation to Circle of Concern Food Pantry. 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Purina Farms, 500 William Danforth Way, Gray Summit.
