It started with a glue gun and a handful of colorful beads. After all, 9-year-old Samiyah “Love” Womack likes to stay active. She’s a student, model/actress, Girl Scout, and fashion designer. “What do you expect me to do?” she says. “Sit like I’m glued to my seat?” She hand-makes fashionable glasses and sells them for $10–$20 at Femme Fatale Boutique (507 N. Taylor) and local fashion events. Her business is called Visions of Love, named for her nickname and her expansive dreams. “I have big visions!” she says. “I think I’m going to make more stuff besides glasses.” Like? “There are three things I’d like to be when I grow up: A doctor, a model, an actress—and maybe an entrepreneur.”
