Places to take your little princess in the St. Louis metro area

A dream can be a wish your heart makes when you’re in St. Louis.

There are plenty of royal occasions around for your princess-obsessed kiddo to get dressed up and have a ball without making the trek all the way to Disney World.

Not Jaded Boutique

The Not Jaded Boutique and Tea Room in Wentzville is the perfect outing for both little princesses and their parents. It’s a good idea to grab a reservation before you head over, especially if you want a spot in their princess tea room, which is stocked with racks of princess dresses, shoes, and accessories for your child to try on in a dressing room. Parents can snack on delicious soups, salads, and pastries while sipping tea at delicate tables and watching their princesses try on outfits. Littles can have their own “tea” in real china cups and teapots. The best part? This tea room is not at all stuffy or afraid of kids breaking things.

Dream Time Princess Balls

There is perhaps nowhere with more princesses gathered in one place than at Dream Time Princess Events’ princess balls, hosted around the St. Louis area. All of the 10-plus princesses come donned in their most stunning dresses and kick off the ball with some princess lessons before opening up for meet-and-greets for an hour and 15 minutes.

Each princess is stationed around the room with a photo backdrop. Don’t worry about the dreaded wait in line to meet the princesses, though–there are fairies around entertaining the kids with games and dances along the way. The ball ends with a magical sing-along and glow-in-the-dark princess parade around the room. Kids’ tickets are usually around $30 and adults around $16, saving you approximately $5,000, compared to Disney World’s princess experiences. Upcoming 2026 dates will be announced soon. Dream Time princesses are also available for hire for private events and birthday parties in the St. Louis area.

Sweet & Sassy

This salon, located in the West County Center Mall, will give kids the ballroom-ready makeover of their dreams. Come dressed up for a mani-pedi and a sparkly princess hairdo fit for royalty. There’s even a catwalk where kids can strut to their favorite Disney Princess song when the look is complete. Keep an eye out on their website and email newsletters for special princess events, or host your own private party with friends.

This company also has princesses available to attend your private party, but don’t miss add-ons in their packages as well, including balloon-twisting, face-painting and jeweled makeovers. Princess package options include entertainment for the kids, a coronation ceremony, and live vocal performances from your chosen princess.

St. Louis Symphony Orchestra

Although none are on the books at the moment, SLSO regularly hosts concerts geared toward kids, and several feature a princess theme. Check the calendar for upcoming concerts to give your princess the opportunity to dance along with a live orchestra.
