A day in the life of Megan Sinclair

Here’s how Sinclair’s Lincoln Navigator helps her move from school drop-off to the showroom.

Before the rest of the house is awake, Megan Sinclair is already moving.

Her alarm goes off around 5:45 a.m. She makes coffee, gets ready, and makes every bed in the house. She opens the blinds and windows, letting the morning in while everything is still quiet.

Those few minutes are about the only part of her day that could be described that way.

By 6:30 a.m., the house is waking up. Breakfast needs to be made. Lunches need to be packed. Three kids need to get dressed. There is hair to fix, teeth to brush, and the inevitable collection of shoes, backpacks, and water bottles to gather before everyone piles into Sinclair’s Lincoln Navigator for the ride to school.

It’s a routine familiar to plenty of working parents. For Sinclair, it’s also the beginning of a day that will eventually take her from school drop-off to the showroom floor at Dave Sinclair Lincoln in the St. Louis region.

Mornings start with Mom Duty

There isn’t much glamorous about getting three kids out the door on time, but that’s part of what makes Sinclair’s morning routine worth seeing. Before she is thinking about inventory, meetings, or what’s happening on the showroom floor, she’s thinking about breakfast and backpacks.

Her Navigator isn’t being saved for a special occasion. It’s family transportation. The space matters when everyone and everything needs to fit. So do the smaller conveniences that make a hectic morning easier, including wireless phone charging and easy access to the third row.

“My mornings are straight chaos, and my Navigator makes them easier. I can remote-start it, comfortably load all three kids and have my calendar, the weather and my ETA automatically waiting for me through the coast-to-coast dash and CarPlay,” Sinclair said. “It keeps me informed without giving me one more thing to think about.”

Once the last child gets out, something changes.

The drive becomes a transition

The stretch between school and Dave Sinclair Lincoln serves as Sinclair’s bridge between two parts of her day. She might return phone calls, listen to music, or put on a podcast. Sometimes it’s simply an opportunity to think about what’s waiting for her at the dealership. Inside the Navigator, features designed around comfort and a quieter cabin take on a practical purpose. This isn’t necessarily downtime. It’s transition time.

“BlueCruise turns my commute into transition time,” Sinclair says. “I can use hands-free highway driving while remaining attentive, which gives me a calmer few minutes to reset between school drop-off, the dealership and home.”

By about 9 a.m., she’s walking through the doors of Dave Sinclair Lincoln.

Her workday starts with people

Sinclair has a routine when she arrives at the dealership. She walks the store, says good morning to employees, and checks in with the team. Then comes another cup of coffee and emails as the rest of the workday begins.

There isn’t necessarily a typical day from that point forward. Sinclair may be on the showroom floor talking with customers, checking in with technicians, meeting with managers, or reviewing inventory. There are operational decisions and marketing meetings, vehicles to show, and upcoming events to plan. And, somewhere between all of that, there might be a grocery order to place.

It’s one of the small details that connects the two halves of Sinclair’s life. Running a dealership doesn’t make the everyday responsibilities waiting at home disappear.

“I grew up watching my dad walk into the dealership and greet everyone by name. He taught me that leadership begins with showing up, paying attention, and making people feel valued,” she says. “I love my job and the people I work with, so walking the store and saying hello isn’t an obligation—it’s one of the best parts of my day.”

Luxury has to work every day

By 5:30 p.m., Sinclair is usually heading home, and then it’s dinner and family time. Later come baths, pajamas, bedtime stories, and cleaning up the house before starting all over again the next morning.

It’s also where the role of the Navigator in Sinclair’s day becomes clearest. Luxury, in this case, isn’t limited to a night out or a long road trip. It’s being used at 7:30 in the morning with kids and backpacks aboard. It’s a quiet place between school and work. It’s carrying groceries home after a full day at the dealership.

Features such as available BlueCruise hands-free highway driving, massage front seats, the Revel Ultima 3D Audio System, and Panoramic Vista Roof may help distinguish the Navigator as a luxury SUV. But Sinclair’s routine also puts the more everyday features, from cargo room to wireless charging, to work.

Tomorrow, it starts all over again

By the time the house is cleaned up and ready for tomorrow, Sinclair’s day has come full circle. In a matter of hours, she’ll be up before everyone else again, making coffee, opening the blinds, and preparing for another morning of lunches, backpacks, and school drop-off. Then she’ll climb back into her Navigator and make the transition from home to Dave Sinclair Lincoln once more.

For Sinclair, those two worlds aren’t particularly separate. They’re simply different parts of the same day.

“Working full-time means sacrificing time with my own family, and that isn’t always easy. But this work is incredibly important to me because this is my family’s business,” Sinclair says. “I want to continue building on what my grandfather and father created—to see it succeed, grow and remain an important part of the St. Louis community we love.”
