On June 18, St. Louis Magazine hosted a Family Playdate at the Queeny Park Nursery, presented by Royal Banks of Missouri. It was hosted by St. Louis County Parks and inspired by their beloved Children’s Garden Club. Families gathered to get creative, explore nature, and spend time together in one of St. Louis County’s most beautiful outdoor spaces.
Kids painted their own pollinator stations, filled them with rocks, and learned how they can help support local pollinators and insects. Each child also received a magnifying glass to take home, making it easy to continue their outdoor adventures and discoveries long after the event ended!

Families enjoyed exploring the gardens together, spotting insects, admiring the flowers, and connecting with other parents and children. It was wonderful to see kids proudly showing off their creations, making new friends, and embracing their curiosity about nature.
