Some mini golf "magic" is headed to the Delmar Loop.
Loop leader Joe Edwards—who owns Blueberry Hill, the Moonrise Hotel, and other Loop landmarks—announced today that he plans to open Magic Mini Golf at 6160 Delmar, on a lot across from the Pageant, and next to a long-vacant church, which Edwards also plans to renovate. It'll include an indoor, year-round 18-hole miniature golf course for all ages.
The space will also include shuffleboard lanes and an indoor, 16-foot-high Ferris wheel from the Muny (featured in its 2017 production of All Shook Up!) with five cabs, which can hold three children or two adults. Visitors can also expect a kitchen, bar, basketball, and additional amusements and games.
"This will be a great experience venue for all ages," Edwards said in a release. A projected opening date was not made available.
Edwards is also the major player in bringing back the Loop Trolley, which did not meet its late spring opening target. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Edwards is waiting on approval from the Federal Transit Administration.
