Chesterfield Sports Association opens largest indoor volleyball and basketball complex in the region

The Chesterfield Sports Complex is a 97,000-square-foot facility that houses nine basketball courts that can convert into 18 volleyball courts.

Basketball and volleyball parents might soon be driving to games at a new facility in Chesterfield. The Chesterfield Sports Association is a nonprofit that strives to help young athletes reach their potential. The organization recently officially opened its Chesterfield Sports Complex, the largest indoor volleyball and basketball complex in the region. Located at 150 N. Eatherton in Chesterfield Valley, the sports facility is expected to attract 900,000 visitors each year through weekend tournaments and might see as many as 1,000 athletes practicing there each week. About 20 meets and tournaments are scheduled through July. Here’s more to know about the new sports complex:

  • The 97,000-square-foot facility houses nine basketball courts that can convert into 18 volleyball courts. The facility can also host gymnastics, martial arts, and other sports tournaments at every level. Tenants of the facility include High Performance STL, Bradley Beal Elite Basketball Club, Stratman Sports, and CNR Basketball.
  • If your child is looking for a spring or summer basketball camp, consider the sports complex. The Chesterfield Sports Association will be hosting a spring skills camp for kids ages 2nd through 8th grade through May as well as a 3-on-3 summer league.
  • You can rent the facility not only for tournaments and banquets, but also birthday parties and other special events. Visit this link for booking information. 
  • The sports complex also features a fitness area, concessions, comfortable seats for Mom and Dad, a second-floor mezzanine to watch games from above, and lounge and multipurpose rooms. 
  • Beginning in the fall, the facility has a medical provider, Mercy Sports Medicine, with athletic trainers who will be on site for practices, games, and tournaments.
  • Training, performance, and muscle-recovery programs will be available in a 4,200-square-foot ACE Performance Lab, the third ACE facility in St. Louis, which should open in May.  The lab will house lifting stations and a 65-foot-long turf for speed and agility training. Sleds and battle ropes will be available for use. The recovery area will feature Hyper Ice Recovery Sleeves, Theraguns, and vibrating rollers and spheres.
