In conjunction with the October 2021 Best New Restaurants issue, St. Louis Magazine ran a sweepstakes to win dinner with dining editor George Mahe at Edera Italian Eatery. Readers entered for the chance to enjoy a complimentary meal and beverages with three friends and George and his wife, Suzi Mahe. Out of nearly 1,000 entries, Ellen Christensen was the randomly chosen winner.
On November 20, the Mahes joined Ellen and Alex Christensen, Delaney Dyer, and Drew Babyak at Edera Italian Eatery for an evening in one of the restaurant’s five heated courtyard chalets. Executive chef Andrew Simon prepared a sensational six-course “chef’s choice” dinner, with each course accompanied by a paired wine.
“This was the first thing I’ve won since third grade!” Ellen says. “The chalet was so cozy, the food was amazing, and the company was the best part.” In fact, the group got along so well, they’re planning another outing.
SLM thanks Edera Italian Eatery for hosting this special dinner.
