Matt Carpenter’s famous salsa is now available to the masses. The Cardinals infielder has teamed up with Schnucks markets to sell his Bueno Mojo Salsa in St. Louis area stores.
Carpenter worked personally with Schnucks chefs to package the product he’s made for years and says he “eats on everything.”

“Many of our customers are also fervent Cardinals fans, so we’re thrilled to bring Bueno Mojo Salsa to them,” Schnucks COO Dave Peacock said in a press release.
Baseballs fans can pick up a tub ($6.99 for 16 ounces) starting today at various Schnucks locations in Missouri and Illinois. The stores, anticipating that the salsa will be a home run with consumers, are limiting sales to two tubs per customer. Since the product is fresh-made, look for it in the refrigerator case in the deli section.
Schnucks will donate a portion of the proceeds to Cardinals Care, a charitable arm that supports underserved communities in St. Louis.
The salsa, which Carpenter describes as mild to medium in heat, will hit shelves during a Cardinals winning streak. Some fans credit Carpenter’s salsa-induced performance for boosting the Cards’ postseason potential.
“There are just over two weeks left in the regular season and we need as much bueno mojo as possible to push us into the playoffs and beyond,” Carpenter said in the release.
