Chicken Salad Chick, a fast-casual chicken salad restaurant that started in Alabama, will open its doors in Chesterfield on Tuesday, January 15 with a sit-down restaurant and drive-thru. The eatery has locations throughout the South but has yet to expand to the Midwest.
“Chicken Salad Chick has developed into a regional powerhouse in the Southeast, but it’s become apparent that our Southern hospitality and unique chicken salad flavors are being craved beyond the region as well,” CEO Scott Deviney said in a statement.

The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner, serving a chicken salad–centric menu with traditional, savory, spicy, and sweet chicken salad flavors. Menu items include the “Classic Carol” with shredded chicken, celery, mayo, and a secret house seasoning, and the “Kickin’ Kay Lynne” with shredded chicken and buffalo sauce, ranch, bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, jalapeños, and Sriracha.
In addition to chicken salads, pimento cheese and egg salad are available as well. All are available as a scoop or sandwich, with an option to add an additional scoop, side, or cup of soup. A roasted turkey breast sandwich is also offered.
Chicken Salad Chick will offer giveaways to its first customers next week as part of an opening special. The first 10 guests who stop by on the eatery’s opening day on Tuesday will win a large to-go tub of chicken salad per week for a year. The next 140 will receive a large Quick Chick per month for a year. The first 100 guests on Saturday who purchase two large to-go orders of chicken salad will get a free Chicken Salad Chick–branded cooler.

Chicken Salad Chick began as a takeout restaurant in Auburn, Alabama, in 2008, but quickly expanded to a franchise a few years later. The eatery now boasts 105 restaurants across the U.S and they already have plans for further expansion in Missouri. Chicken Salad Chick will open an additional restaurant in Creve Coeur this year, the restaurant said in a statement.
“Missouri’s genuine excitement for our brand makes it the perfect market to kick off our Midwest expansion, and we look forward to showing residents in Chesterfield what Chicken Salad Chick is all about,” Deviney said.
