City Foundry STL adding a new healthy dining option

BerryBox Superfood Bar will offer a variety of açaí bowls, smoothies, and coffee.

A new option is coming to City Foundry STL: BerryBox Superfood Bar is slated to open later this year, in late fall or early winter.

Situated near Patty’s Cheesecakes‘ and Turmeric Street Style‘s stalls, at the east end of the building, the new concept will specialize in açaí bowls.

Owner Dustin Cole came to embrace the superfood during the pandemic. “I found myself going from a traveling day job to being home every day. To get creative, I started making myself an açaí bowl every afternoon,” says Cole. “You could say the obsession grew.”

Customers will be able to choose from a range of bases and toppings, including other fresh fruits, peanut butter, granola, coconut, various seeds, and more. The same enriching ingredients can also be made into a smoothie. (And check out the Super Secret Menu and codeword on the online menu.)

An in-house set of bubbly waters will span such flavors as lemon-lime, strawberry kiwi, and orange. Coffee, kombucha, and more will be among the options as well.

“We are so excited to bring BerryBox to life,” Cole says. “St. Louis is such an amazing and creative city. We cannot wait to bring fun bowls, smoothies, and coffee to City Foundry.”
