A taste of Peacemaker Lobster & Crab Co. will soon be available at one of St. Louis’ most popular craft breweries.
Peacemaker chef-owner Kevin Nashan and chef de cuisine John Messbarger have teamed up with 4 Hands Brewing Co.‘s owner Kevin Lemp to bring a new food program, available starting February 24, to the brewery’s tasting room. (Nashan is a James Beard semifinalist for “Best Chef: Midwest” again this year for his flagship restaurant, Sidney Street Cafe.)

“You just know that everything that Kevin does, and that his team does, the quality level is going to be the very best, or they’re not going to do it,” Lemp says. “We’re excited to have his crew inside our house.”
The menu includes a Peacemaker favorite, the brisket poorboy with lettuce, tomato, pickle and horseradish aioli; a shared plate of dips (rarebit, smoke whitefish, and blue crab) with Companion pretzels; a roasted pork shoulder sandwich with smoked gouda; 4 Hands Brat with sauerkraut, dijon, on a Companion pretzel bun; two soups (beer cheese and beef and barley); and mussels with tomato, bacon, shallot broth, and grilled bread.
“This was a no-brainer when Kevin Lemp approached me,” Nashan said in a statement. “I love his beer and the way he runs his business. It’s a win-win for all of us.”
This isn’t the first time the pair have worked together. Three years ago, they collaborated to launch a Peacemaker witbier.
Last summer, 4 Hands added a second-floor, 4,000-square-foot tasting room for extra dining space and private events.
“I have got so much respect for Kevin—just with everything that he does from his personality to his food,” Lemp says. “I couldn’t have thought of anybody better to come in and collaborate with us on the food program here.”
4 Hands Brewing Co. is located at 1220 S. 8th and is open Monday through Thursday 12–10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 12 p.m.–12 a.m., and Sunday 12–9 p.m.
