Style Influences

“I love the West Coast,” says the San Diego native. “Every little piece I have is kind of influenced by it, from the succulents to the cacti, from the leather to certain prints.”

 Lounge Chairs

“I was at a photoshoot in a shared space studio at the Lemp. We were doing a shot when I happened to see these bad boys. I had to find out whose these were and if they were for sale.”

 Peace Sign

“I’ve had the peace sign for years. It’s come with me everywhere. I want you to be able to come into my home and feel comfortable.”

 Bike

Butler found her bike (named Willow) in Brooklyn two years ago. “She reminded me of my dad’s bike. My dad was a boxer, and he would bike every single morning.”

 Attire

“I love a kimono. I love a onesie—that’s what my daughter calls a jumpsuit. I love that clothing can be fun, comfortable, and so expressive. One day I can be wearing all black and the next day, all patterns.”

 Tattoos

“The rose was my latest tattoo. Basically, it represents all of the great examples in my life: my dad, my grandfathers, my grandmother. It’s now my time to continue that legacy.”
