On the New Miserable Experience anniversary tour, rock band Gin Blossoms were accompanied by Punchline to play a sold-out show at Delmar Hall.
Punchline, a pop-punk band formed in 1998, voiced their love for some St. Louis things, including the City Museum and Pappy’s Smokehouse during their performance. St. Louis seemingly gave that love right back. Playing songs such as “I Swear I’ve Been Here Before” and “Green Hills,” the band even covered The Cranberries’ “Linger.”

Closing with a song called “Universe,” the band said, “this is a song you’ll want to share.”

Gins Blossoms’ music seems to stand the test of time. After all, they’ve been at this since rising to fame in ’92. Rolling Stone once said that “the Gin Blossoms excelled at marrying world-weary lyrics with ebullient melodies.”
Lead singer Robin Wilson said he’s “stunned and surprised we’re still selling tickets in 2019. Never knew if this album [New Miserable Experience] would ever come out after recording it.”
The band performed the entirety of the album, while tossing in a few other hits from the band’s latest album Mixed Reality.
