PLAY
Puerto Vallarta’s location in the coastal plain of the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains makes it a perfect destination for just about everyone. It has beaches, tropical jungle excursions, a historic downtown, and a booming LGBTQ scene. Playa de Los Muertos, with its calm swimming waters, is the largest beach and one of the most popular. Expect crowds, plenty of dining options, and all-night fiestas. Don’t forget to take a walk on the famous circular pier. If you’re wanting a more secluded beach, Conchas Chinas offers fewer crowds and lots of marine life. Driving an ATV or RZR across the Jorullo Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in Latin America, shouldn’t be missed, and the views of the lush mountains alone are worth the experience. Be sure to leave time for exploring Zona Romántica, the charming historic district of Puerto Vallarta where boutiques, bars, and restaurants line cobblestone streets. And no visit is complete without touring the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
