Where to watch CITY2 in the MLS Next Pro Cup

Join fellow St. Louis CITY SC supporters at one of these local establishments

Ralph Korte Stadium in Edwardsville was the place to be while CITY2 powered its way through the initial rounds of the MLS Next Pro postseason. Now, with the squad on the road in Columbus, Ohio for Saturday’s title match matinee, fans need a new place to party.

Fortunately, there are a few options around town.

Join fellow St. Louis CITY SC supporters at one of these local establishments and watch as CITY2 takes on Columbus Crew 2 in the inaugural MLS Next Pro Cup on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. The game will stream on the league’s website.

St. Louligans tailgate 

When: 10:30 a.m.

Where: Schlafly Tap Room auxiliary parking lot, 2100 Locust

Overview: Practice for next season’s slate of tailgates, while hangin’ with the diehard fans who comprise the St. Louligans supporters group. The Louligans will tailgate across the street from Centene Stadium at a lot next to Schlafly Tap Room. Grab a drink from the Tap Room and stay for the match, which will be shown outside on a large screen. Lunch will be provided.

9 Mile Garden

When: Opens 11 a.m.

Where: 9375 Gravois, Affton

Overview: Catch the action at this open-air entertainment venue, which will stream the game outside in the food truck plaza, as well as inside at the on-site bar. In addition to the food trucks, 9 Mile Garden will also offer drink specials for CITY fans. If you can’t make it this weekend, keep in mind that 9 Mile Garden will feature World Cup broadcasts once the global tournament kicks off later this fall.

Beffa’s

When: Opens 10 a.m.

Where: 2700 Olive

Overview: Located just a few blocks west of Centene Stadium, this Midtown institution will show the match while serving its popular Saturday brunch. Pro tip: the Southern Chicken Biscuit is a crowd pleaser.

Amsterdam Tavern

When: Opens 7 a.m.

Where: 3175 Morganford

Overview: Yes, the city’s most popular soccer bar will carry the CITY franchise’s anticipated showdown with Crew 2 in the development league finale. If there’s a ball being kicked somewhere on the planet, odds are good that it’s being televised at this pub in Tower Grove South.

The Pat Connolly Tavern

When: Opens 10 a.m.

Where: 6400 Oakland

Overview: This Dogtown favorite will be showing the match upstairs in its 1942 Room. Brunch is served until 2 p.m.
