When the XFL’s second attempt at a reboot kicks off in February, the St. Louis Battlehawks will take the field with an updated wardrobe. The league revealed the uniforms for all eight of its teams on Wednesday, and the Battlehawks are among the squads sporting a sartorial refresh.
The Battlehawks will wear a blue “Deep Sky” uniform at home and a “Jet Gray” light uniform on the road, while donning gray helmets depicting the wings of the club’s primary logo on the sides. Both sets of uniforms pay homage to local lore, including stenciled number sets intended to honor the region’s history of manufacturing military aircraft. The silver striping around the shoulders, meanwhile, is meant as a nod to the Gateway Arch.
In revealing team uniforms on Wednesday, the league announced it has entered a partnership with Under Armour, which will manufacture all XFL jerseys and apparel. To purchase a replica jersey, fans can join a wait list on the XFL’s website.
The XFL season kicks off on February 18, 2023; however, the league has not yet released its schedule.
