Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Ted Cruz Come to St. Louis to Campaign

Missouri votes in its presidential primary on March 15.

As Missouri’s presidential primary nears, the campaigns are setting their sights on St. Louis.

Donald Trump, the Republican businessman whose campaign has devolved into a steady stream of insults, vulgar jokes, and grand promises, has a campaign rally scheduled for Friday at the Peabody Opera House on Market Street. According to the sparse listing on Eventbrite, tickets are free and doors open at 10 a.m. The event starts at noon.

Trump’s visit comes a week after a rally for Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders, who stopped at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville on Friday, the first candidate this primary season to visit the Metro East. More than 4,000 people attended the rally, where Sanders, a senator from Vermont, spoke about free college tuition, universal health care, and a higher minimum wage.
