St. Louis winters aren’t hot, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be. When it’s too cold to run through your neighborhood or do lunges in the park, we’ve found the best places to warm up and burn some calories with hot yoga. You’ll just have to be brave enough to take the walk from the house to the car.

This Clayton studio is the perfect place for beginners. Every class is designed for first-timers and is offered in either 90- or 60-minute formats. If you’re ready to follow through with your New Year’s resolutions, they offer several packages that accommodate to your schedule. It’s a little pricey, with plans in the $100 dollar range and a $1,400 package that I would only recommend if hot yoga is your literal life. If you just want to try it out, single classes are $20.

Sumits Yoga St. Louis
Not being able to find a babysitter is no excuse to stay home. Sumits Yoga STL welcomes families with a family plan of $175. New students get a great deal: two weeks of unlimited yoga for only $25. If you’re reluctant to commit, you can drop in for $16. Their sessions don’t go longer than an hour and 15 minutes, so that makes it a little easier to squeeze something in either before work or in between classes.

2690 Yoga
First thing’s first: there’s a dog here. That’s good, because this place is a little pricey. Single classes are $20 and first-time students get one month of unlimited yoga for $49. Their scheduled classes are a little hard to swing during the week (depending on your schedule), so 2690 Yoga is best if you’re someone who only works out on the weekends. What’s cool is they know what they’re doing. In their 90-minute sessions, you’ll work through 26 postures that will strengthen your body, work your muscles and leave you feeling peaceful and rejuvenated.

Yoga Six St. Louis
Location, location, location. Yoga Six is across from Forest Park on Oakland Ave. It’s dangerously close to the great food in Dogtown, so treat yourself to a burger from Seamus McDaniel’s a few hours before you hit the studio. This place is a little pricey as well, but their plans make sense, and you’re sure to find something that works for you. Drop-in classes are $25. If you’re ready to fulfill your New Year’s resolution, $119 per month will get you unlimited classes, all studio access, 20 percent off retail, and 20 percent off specialty workshops. Since it’s tax return season, now is the time to sign up for an annual membership for $1,199 and be the MVP of your friends. What makes Yoga Six special is that you can have private sessions or get your boss to take part in “corporate yoga,” which is where you and the rest of the team can come in and destress from the very guy who signed you up. It’s a win-win, right?
