Santa’s sleigh is pulling into the drive-in. On Saturday, December 2, visit Skyview Drive-In in Belleville, Illinois, to catch a viewing of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and enjoy a visit with the man in red himself. The holiday tradition requires ticket purchases in advance, and gates will open at 4 p.m. with a start time of 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $25.
A Very Special Very Alamo Drafthouse Holiday
When the weather outside is frightful, check out the delightful Alamo Drafthouse Cinema (and neighboring indoor City Foundry food hall and shops). This year, enjoy the theater’s signature “movie parties” or brunch screenings, featuring Elf, The Polar Express, The Holiday, It’s a Wonderful Life, When Harry Met Sally, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, White Christmas, Little Women, and more.
Retro Christmas Cartoons With Santa
Festive can still be frugal! Enjoy $5 per ticket and free popcorn for kids at the family-friendly retro Christmas movie night at Arkadin Cinema. The microcinema in the heart of Bevo is the perfectly jolly setting for the film-fanatic family members on your list. Plus, the ticket prices leave even more room for this year’s wish lists.
Marcus Theatres is offering Season’s Screenings of holiday classics starting at $6 each, or as part of a $20 passport package for four movies, through December 21. The group of theaters, which locally include Ronnie’s Cinema, Des Peres Cinema, Arnold Cinema, Chesterfield Cinema, and more, will be showing Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch, Elf, It’s a Wonderful Life, Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Meet Me in St. Louis, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Love Actually, The Polar Express, White Christmas, A Christmas Story, and more.
Although most of Hi-Pointe’s holiday offerings this year are more of the adult variety, teens with a taste for the classics might enjoy a showing of It’s a Wonderful Life, Christmas in Connecticut, or The Shop Around the Corner at this equally timeless venue.
