On June 11, 2026, families gathered at the St. Louis County Library’s Florissant Valley Branch for St. Louis Magazine’s Kids Book Club, presented by PNC and The Clark Family, and hosted by St. Louis County Library. The monthly series brings together families from across the region to share stories, spark curiosity, and build connections through a love of reading.
This month’s featured book, Jumper by Jessica Lanan, invited children to explore the wonders of the natural world through the story of a tiny tree frog’s remarkable journey. Families enjoyed a librarian-led storytime that brought the beautifully illustrated book to life, followed by hands-on activities inspired by the story’s themes of exploration, discovery, and resilience.
Throughout the evening, children played, created, and connected with one another while parents and caregivers had the opportunity to meet fellow families and enjoy time together in a welcoming community space. It was especially meaningful to see young readers engaging with stories, asking questions, and sharing their excitement with new friends.
St. Louis Kids Book Club is more than a storytime. It is a place where families can slow down, learn together, and create lasting memories while fostering a lifelong love of reading.
