Urban Chestnut Brewing Company is giving local beer lovers a reason to look forward to fall: the return of O’Fallon Brewery’s most beloved seasonal offerings.

Beginning in August, Urban Chestnut will relaunch several beers from the shuttered O’Fallon brand, starting with its iconic Pumpkin Beer—a fan favorite that once helped define the flavor of autumn in St. Louis. The beer will be brewed at Urban Chestnut’s Midtown and Grove facilities and distributed throughout the region.

Known for its balance of spice and subtle sweetness, O’Fallon’s Pumpkin Beer was one of the first of its kind to reach wide local appeal. For many drinkers, it was the seasonal standard—unfussy, flavorful, and unmistakably fall.
“We think—along with a lot of STL beer drinkers—that O’Fallon Pumpkin was one of the best,” says Brian Travers, chairman of Urban Chestnut. “It wasn’t overpowering—it struck the right balance. It was the perfect beer for fall, and we’re happy to bring it back.”

Urban Chestnut acquired the full O’Fallon beer portfolio following the latter brewery’s 2024 closure. Travers says fans can expect multiple releases in the coming months, including Dad’s Oatmeal Cookie Stout, a dessert-style beer with a devoted following and a flavor profile that tastes like the name suggests.
“You’ll see many of the O’Fallon fan favorites returning,” Travers says. “We’ve kept the original recipes intact, and we’re focused on delivering the same great taste people remember.”
The move is part of a broader strategy to expand Urban Chestnut’s presence in the market while staying rooted in the brewery’s commitment to quality and community. “We love the O’Fallon brand,” Travers says. “And we’re growing not only by making great Urban Chestnut beer but by acquiring brands we believe in.”
O’Fallon’s beers will be available both on draft at UCBC locations and in packaged form at retail outlets throughout the region. More seasonal varieties will follow, offering longtime fans a chance to reconnect with past favorites—and introducing new drinkers to a chapter of local beer history they may have missed.
“Plan to see lots of big announcements from UCBC ahead,” Travers says.
