UPBAR opening atop Element by Westin in Midtown on October 30

The rooftop bar will serve handcrafted cocktails made with liquors from local beverage supplier Luxco.

A new rooftop bar is opening at Element by Westin in Midtown on October 30. UPBAR, which will sit atop the 153-room hotel, at 3763 Forest Park Avenue, will feature a handcrafted cocktail menu made with liquors from local beverage supplier Luxco. The new bar’s slogan will be “Where St. Louis Meets the Sky.”

“The rooftop view and exceptional space are both incomparable and fresh,” Midas CEO David Robert said in a statement, “making it an excellent fit for this very vibrant community.”

UPBAR will be located across the street from City Foundry STL, whose food hall is slated to open in early spring 2021. It’s also a stone’s throw from Cortex Innovation Community, Saint Louis University, IKEA, and a slew of highly regarded eateries.

Hotel development and management firm Midas Hospitality will oversee the project, with James Metcalf, a Panera veteran and Midas’ director of food and beverage, helming the bar.
