Beer lovers in St. Louis will soon have a new spot to grab a pint. The Brass Tap, (9091 Olive Crossing) an upscale beer bar concept with more than 50 locations across the country, will open its first Missouri location in early 2026.
Franchise owners Kush and Prapti Patel earlier announced plans to open five locations of the brand across the greater St. Louis area. Now, they’re sharing more details about what to expect when The Brass Tap opens its doors in Olivette on February 16.
Here’s what we know.
The Concept
The Brass Tap is an upscale beer bar concept with more than 50 locations across the United States. The Patels have long wanted to get into the restaurant business (Kush’s family has a longstanding history in retail), and they felt that the franchise model would give them more support as first-time restaurant owners.

As the name implies, the concept is known for its extensive tap list, which will include 45 beers on tap at the Olivette location, in addition to 50 more in bottles and cans. That said, Kush stresses that the concept is not just for beer lovers; The Brass Tap also serves wine, cocktails, and nonalcoholic beverages, in addition to a full food menu.
“Having been in St. Louis my entire life and Prapti having been here for a decade, we feel like we really understand St. Louis,” Kush says. “When we saw this concept, we were like, St. Louis needs this. Why is this not already here? With the beer-loving culture that we have, it’s just a great fit here, and there’s nothing quite like it. It’s kind of an all-in-one, fun-for-everyone place.”

Prapti adds that The Brass Tap is focused on hosting events each week, from trivia nights, karaoke nights, and summer cornhole tournaments to World Cup and NBA playoff watch events. “St. Louis loves beer, but it’s also known to have these tight-knit community bars that people love hanging out at, watching sports, and going to events,” she says. “We found this perfect opportunity, and we want to bring this to the community.”
The first St. Louis area location of The Brass Tap will be located in the new 14.8-acre Olive Crossing mixed-use development. The 3,000-square-foot space will feature a mix of tables and bar seating inside, in addition to an expansive outdoor patio.
“We feel like it’s really up-and-coming area,” Kush says. “There’s nothing quite like this in Olivette. We feel like the people of Olivette would love this, and it would cater to a lot of people’s needs.”
The Menu
First and foremost, The Brass Tap’s drink menu focuses on an expansive craft beer selection, and the Patels are taking care to source as many local beers as possible. In addition to beer on draft, in bottles, and in cans, the drink menu also features a handful of wines, sangria, and nonalcoholic cocktails and beers.

House cocktails include such favorites as an Espresso Martini, Aperol Spritz, and Mojito, as well as an Old Fashioned that’s smoked tableside. There’s also a selection of several Margaritas, including one with reposado tequila, a spicy version, and one made with watermelon purée.
Kush describes the food menu as “bar bites with a twist,” including shareables such as balsamic-glazed crispy Brussels sprouts, fried cheese curds, mac ‘n’ cheese bites, onion rings, potstickers, Boom Boom shrimp, and a soft pretzel. Other options include wings with a selection of nine dipping sauces and five dry rubs, as well as salads, tacos, and nachos. Larger dishes include a selection of burgers, pizzas (also available with cauliflower crust), and sandwiches, in addition to large plates including chicken tenders, a shrimp platter, and hand-breaded, beer-battered fish and chips.

While the menu will be similar at each location, Kush says each location has the flexibility to make some tweaks, so they’ll likely add a take on St. Louis’ signature toasted ravioli to the menu.
Whether guests want to stop in with the family for a full dinner or just grab a beer at the bar after work, the Patels hope they’ll find something to love at The Brass Tap. “We’re looking forward to being able to provide a really good product to the community of Olivette, providing really good service and basically generating a good time for people,” Kush says.
Add Prapti, “We want to become the new favorite hot spot for the community.”
