Many local dining patrons recall that Stone Soup Cottage, a charming restaurant known for its memorable, romantic dinners in the countryside, closed last June. Since then, owners Carl and Nancy McConnell have hosted several pop-up events–under the moniker of Le Champ de Fleurs by Stone Soup Cottage–all of which have sold out literally within minutes of their 7 a.m. release time.
This spring, though, there’s hope for diners who like to sleep in a bit. “After 10 years, I finally talked Carl into doing a formal brunch,” says Nancy. “The 8,000 tulips and daffodils are starting to bloom in the fields, and we are feeling inspired.”
