St. Louis restaurant openings, closings, and coming soons

The following information is accurate as of an early-October press date.

Pastries and savory offerings from Dolce Napoli

Last month, there were seven restaurant closures and 21 openings, a clear sign that the sky is not falling. Plus, several of the closed establishments have sister restaurants: Grace Meat + Three closed, but Grace Chicken + Fish remains open; Sobremesa closed, but LaPez Mod Mez and Session Taco remain open; and Chao Baan closed, but King & I remains open. September’s standout openings include Sur Lie (a wine-focused bistro from the team at Little Fox), Dolce Napoli (a gelato, sandwich, and Italian pastry shop from the Napoli family), and the metro area’s second CAVA. (The first is in Cottleville; this one is in Des Peres.)
