The most unusual statistic this month is the relatively small number of closures (two vs. seven in February 2020). Among the openings, ghost kitchens continue to multiply—Mariah’s Cookies, Wing Squad, MrBeast Burger, and Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Kitchen (all under the Virtual Dining Concepts umbrella)—have recently opened inside existing restaurants.

The owners of Narwhal’s Crafted applied the same high-end treatment to nachos at sister restaurant Loaded: Elevated Nachos, the 15th eatery to open at the Streets of St. Charles development. A month after putting their Holly Hills location on pause, Alan and Alex Cupp introduced a carryout, sandwich-focused version of The Stellar Hog in Chesterfield. And the New-Orleans-themed good times bar Boo Coo rouler‘d into Soulard, right in time for Mardi Gras.
