Just in time for Opening Day, a new Koibito Poké location—a concept co-founded by former Cardinal and two-time World Series champion Todd Stottlemyre—has opened inside Ballpark Village, at 601 Clark.
“Our goal was to welcome guests on Opening Day, and we’re excited we made it happen,” Stottlemyre said in a press release. “We look forward to being part of the game day experience in Ballpark Village, and we are excited to be part of the larger downtown St. Louis community.”

The Menu
Koibito Poké specializes in poké bowls, a Hawaiin-inspired concept that sees marinated cuts of fish on a bed of mixed rice or mixed greens, as well as an array of other fresh ingredients, such as edamame and cucumber. Koibito offers several signature bowls, including The First Timer Bowl (Hawaiian Tuna), a Chicken and Shrimp Bowl, and a Tuna Trio Bowl (spicy, Hawaiian, and regular).
The restaurant also features a build-your-own bowl, with 10 protein options (including grilled chicken and/or octopus), nine sauces, four bases of rice and greens, and a whole host of toppings and garnishes to mix into the fold. And the size options include a kid’s bowl (if you somehow have one of those kids who will willingly eat anything green).
The Atmosphere
The new 1,500-square-foot location will be located on the outside of the Bally Sport’s Live! atrium at 601 Clark Avenue. There will also be a patio for outdoor seating.
The space is Koibito Poké’s second location in St. Louis. The first location opened in Des Peres last year, and a third is set to open in Warson Woods later this year.
The concept began in the Phoenix area and has since expanded across the country, in such states as North Carolina and Nevada. Before breaking into the restaurant industry, Stottlemyre was a Major League starting pitcher for 15 seasons, three of which were played with the Redbirds, from ’96 to ’98. He won back-to-back World Series championships with the Toronto Blue Jays, in 1992 and 1993. (It’s also the team that the Cardinals happen to be facing in the home opener.)
“The fact that a Cardinals alumni calls Ballpark Village home makes this grand opening even more exciting for us,” Mike LaMartina, chief operating officer for Ballpark Village, said in a press release. “The addition of Koibito Poké adds to our great lineup of dining options for visitors and residents of Ballpark Village as well as to the larger downtown St. Louis neighborhood.”
In addition to Koibito Poké, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta and Condado Tacos are expected to open this spring.
