The Menu
The exact tap list will likely shift between soft openings and the official launch because of limited batch sizes and early demand. For its initial soft opening, the brewery plans to pour a range of styles, including:
- Good Karma: A West Coast IPA that became popular enough to join Good News Brewing’s main production lineup
- Marky Mark and the Hazy Bunch: New England IPA
- Blended Dimension: Fruited sour
- Java the Nut: Vanilla coffee brown ale
- Remnant: Pale ale
- Work From Home: Witbier
- Vape Trix: Hazy wheat ale brewed with Trix cereal
The taproom will feature 10 taps, with seven house beers, alongside Michelob Ultra, a cider, and a customizable seltzer.
Cochran and co-owner Matt Fair, along with partners, Jen Cochran and Laura Meyer, describe their approach as story-driven brewing. “For all of us, it means beer starts with real life, not just recipes or trends,” says Jen Cochran. “Inspiration often comes from shared moments, conversations about family traditions, holidays, or a simple experience that sparks an idea.”
The initial food menu will include wood-fired pizza, sandwiches (Italian, prime rib, and pastrami), and appetizers (e.g., wings and toasted ravioli). The goal is to keep the food approachable and supportive of the beer without turning the space into a full-service restaurant.
The Backstory
Cochran began brewing at home in 2018 before gaining attention through a homebrewing competition at Good News Brewing. That experience led to small-batch releases brewed on a one-barrel system, often poured from a single tap and selling out quickly.
After operating with a single tap and small batches brewed on borrowed systems, the brewery announced plans to expand to a brick-and-mortar. Now, what started as a project built around limits—one tap, small batches, and borrowed time—has room to grow.
“What makes this feel right is that it’s been organic the whole way,” says Jen Cochran. “It’s grown through relationships and trust, not by trying to move too fast.”
“Up to now, a lot of people have known Interruption through the beer itself, one batch at a time,” Cochran adds. “Having our own space means we finally get to open that up with more styles, more flavors, and more room to experiment and to share what we love.
“But just as important, it lets us focus on the full experience,” Cochran adds. “Not just what’s in your glass, but how it feels to be here—welcoming, relaxed, and easy to settle into.
