Brewed Arts Festival | August 16
OK, so this one’s really more about the beverage part of food and beverage, but Cherokee Street is chockablock with great food options, so there’s no need to leave hungry. Saint Louis Hop Shop curates more than 20 beers, available for tasting up and down the fest’s mile-long footprint. The stops have live art and music produced by Screwed Arts Collective, so you can feed your soul, too. 1–5 p.m. $45.
Grub & Groove | August 16
Friends of Francis Park have been grubbin’ and groovin’ for 14 years now. The annual Grub & Groove brings neighbors together in the park for bands, food trucks, drinks, vendors, and fireworks. What’s especially cool about this one is that proceeds from the food go toward improving Francis Park and the surrounding neighborhood. 2–10:30 p.m. Free admission.
Pickle & Pint Fest | August 16
Pickles are really having a moment, and Schlafly Bottleworks is getting in on the act with the inaugural Pickle & Pint Fest. There are an awful lot of variations on the theme: pickle beer and pickle shots, sure, but also pickle popcorn, pickled pimento, and stuffed pickles. Learn how to pickle peck upon peck of peppers-plus, and play some pickleball at the nearby courts. It’s family-friendly, with cool bands and no tickets needed. 3–9 p.m.
