To George Lopez—actor, talk show host, author, restaurateur, and comedian—tacos are no laughing matter.
In conjunction with Nextbite, a virtual restaurant marketplace, Lopez’s so called “bad-ass” street tacos are now available in more than 80 locations nationwide, including St. Louis. To date, Nextbite has introduced a dozen ghost-kitchen concepts, in addition to George Lopez Tacos, which rolls out across the U.S. today.
The taco menu features recipes developed by Lopez himself. It boasts slow-cooked meats, flavorful toppings, and several salsas in a "build-your-own" format. In a nod to freshly prepared food, Lopez’s two styles of tacos arrive deconstructed, allowing customers to assemble to their own preference. Meat options include pork carnitas, chicken tinga, and beef ranchero verde. The base taco, La Chingona, includes a protein and several add-ins. La Mas Cabrona, a “badder-ass taco,” includes avocado creama, plus fire roasted peppers and onions. Options include taco combos, family packs (La Gran Reunion pictured below), sides, and drinks, such as Mexican Coke and Jarritos.

George Lopez Tacos will be available by delivery only from national delivery services, such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, Postmates, and Grubhub.
The initial local restaurant partner in St. Louis is Funnel Cake Factory, at 1000 Washington Avenue downtown. (Other restaurant owners interested in becoming a restaurant partner can learn more and sign up on Nextbite's website.)
