Snarf’s Commits To MX Project, Gobbles Up Space Next To Theater

After months of negotiations, Jodi and Maty Aronson of Snarf’s have signed a lease at the MX development downtown, bringing the restaurant total there to four. One week ago today, Relish announced that Robust was officially on board as well, joining Takaya New Asian Restaurant and Pi Pizzeria.

Snarf’s will occupy the plum rocking-chair space between Pi and the three-screen MX Movies theater. According to Jodi Aronson, there will even be an entry door connecting Snarf’s directly to the theater lobby. “The menu will be the same as the one in U City,” she noted, “except downtown we’ll serve breakfast as well.” Two other stores in the Snarf family already serve breakfast, taking the guesswork out of creating an entire new-and-untested menu.

Aronson is more than excited about the location. “The MX project is building momentum,” she said, “and our positioning within it couldn’t be better.” Snarf’s appears to be on a roll as well. Remarked Aronson, “In the six months we’ve been negotiating this deal, my brother has opened three of them, two in Chicago and one in Denver.”

A fall opening is planned, we’re told, about the time the curtain rises theater complex opens. That’ll give us a few months practicing how to unwrap Snarfs’ sandwiches…quietly.
