Let’s hear it for Yankee Pot Roast.

Bixby’s, the popular restaurant inside the Missouri History Museum, has introduced a unique Civil War-inspired menu to run concurrently with the Museum’s “The Civil War in Missouri” exhibit that runs through mid-March. Bixby’s is an SLM A-List Winner for 2011 as well as one of “The 25 Best New Restaurants of 2011.”

In keeping with the theme, according to a press release received today, customers can choose from “Southern-style home cooking or rich Northern fares,” such as “a new savory Southern chicken pot pie and a hearty Northern beef stew  each served with a hardtack biscuit,” as well as a pan seared Missouri trout with crayfish tartar.”

The themed specials have been incorporated into to Chef Todd Lough’s recently introduced winter menu. Complete menu details are on their website
