4 Hands Brewing Co. to launch PourMyBeer Wall at forthcoming Wash Ave Food Hall

The self-pour beverage experience will bring one of St. Louis’ leading craft beverage brands to the complex, which is slated to open this fall.

Wash Ave Food Hall continues to take shape ahead of its anticipated fall opening. The 10,000-square-foot food-and-beverage destination is slated to open later this year in the former Reign/Copia space downtown at 1120 Washington Avenue. While the hall’s eight food vendors have yet to be announced, one key tenant is now official: 4 Hands Brewing Co., which will serve as the project’s anchor beverage partner.

Rather than merely supplying and pouring beers, 4 Hands will introduce an interactive “PourMyBeer Wall,” allowing guests to self-pour a rotating selection of 10 craft beers. After verifying their age, visitors receive an RFID card, choose a beer, pour as little or as much as they’d like (up to a preset pint limit), and pay by the ounce. The self-pour system encourages guests to explore different beer styles while pairing drinks with offerings from food vendors throughout the hall.int

“We are extremely excited to be working with the team responsible for the Wash Ave Food Hall,” says Kevin Lemp, founder and CEO of 4 Hands. “We love the momentum happening in the district and are thrilled to be a part of it. It’s creating a destination where people can connect, explore and build community—everything that 4 Hands Brewing Co. works to be a part of.”

The project is a partnership between local developer Alex Oliver of Oliver Properties and national food hall operator FIRETEN Hospitality, which specializes in food halls that blend dining, beverage, entertainment, and technology into interactive hospitality experiences.

In the release, FIRETEN CEO Jeremy Barker said 4 Hands and its PourMyBeer Wall provide a beverage anchor that is “local, recognizable, and perfectly aligned with the kind of interactive environment” that the company is creating.

Oliver notes that the addition also reflects the continued resurgence of Washington Avenue, where new residential, restaurant, office, retail, and entertainment projects are driving investment and foot traffic. “Adding a brand like 4 Hands to the Wash Ave Food Hall reinforces what we have been saying about this neighborhood: It is one of the most walkable, active, and opportunity-rich areas in St. Louis,” Oliver says.

Additional tenant announcements are expected in the coming months as Wash Ave Food Hall moves closer to its fall debut.
